Since March 1991, Kairos Ministry serves the inmates at Donovan State Prison in Otay Mesa. A group of Christian men visit the prison and conduct a three day retreat for the inmates. The effect of this retreat has been dramatic, completely changing the lives of hardened criminals. Prisoners have come to God and forgiven mortal enemies. God has found a place in one of darkest places in Southern California.
Kairos Ministry is asking for your continued prayers and donated cookies. We will be distributing the cookies to our brothers in Christ. If you would like to donate homebaked cookies, a box for collection after Saturday and all Sunday Masses April 6/7 will be available in the narthex. Please freeze them if stored for more than a week.
Package cookies in clear, ziploc type bags (quart or gallon size is ideal)
Place a dozen cookies in each bag
Please do not use tin foil or wire twist ties. The cookies will be thoroughly inspected by the prison staff and could delay or prevent entry.
